The Gruppo Fotografico PIXEL DI NATURA is a team of friends sharing the common passion for nature photography: landscapes, photo safari, macro photography and travel reportage.
Our wish to share our ideas and projects with other people who are fond of photography pushed us to promote and make our activities known to a larger audience.
We would like more and more people to get involved in this spare time activity, offering numerous non-professional photographers an opportunity of meeting and sharing this type of photography.
All our activities are open to everyone and are always for free
We meet every Friday from 9 pm to 11pm at the Casa delle Associazioni e del Volontariato del Municipio 5 (Associations and voluntary head office of Milan Municipality area 5) situated in Via Saponaro, 20 – 20142 Milano – Italy.
As our team’s name reminds of, the main subject of our photos is nature and all relevant aspects, focusing on the most common animals and plants we can find just around the corner.
In order to improve the technical and artistic skills of the people involved, we schedule a number of activities.

PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES
We offer various learning activities for sharing techniques, tricks and experiences specifically dedicated to amateurs of nature photography who are not provided with professional equipment.
Technical training sessions and outdoor meetings are planned to put the techniques learned indoor into practice and develop everyone’s abilities.
THEMED CONFERENCES
We plan conferences on naturalist journeys, showing and describing itineraries and strategic locations to get successful watching and take the best photos of nature.
Each author talks about his own tour and gives the others the opportunity of hearing of places that are already known or still to be discovered both in Italy and abroad,
EXCURSIONS
It is very important to choose an appropriate photo hunting location and learn animal habits and behavior
The Gruppo Fotografico PIXEL DI NATURA offers easy level guided excursions dedicated to naturalist photography. Participation is free for everyone, from nature watchers to skilled photographers.
Our excursions are unique occasions to take photos, share and improve everyone’s technical skills together with other participants. During our tour, all information about nature and photography will be given to the participants in order to satisfy their own requirements
PHOTO CONTESTS
We plan and organize contests for photographers of every experienced level who can take part and enjoy themselves
Thanks to our photo contests everyone have a real opportunity to promote and enhance their own photos.
Entry to our on-line photo contests allows authors to face with other competitors and improve their own photographic know-how, even when physically unable to participate
BASIC COURSE OF BIRDWATCHING
Wildlife photographers know that not only appropriate photo shooting techniques are necessary, but the knowledge of animal’s habits and behaviors as well.
On this purpose we offer a basic course of bird-watching which combines theory and practice through indoor lessons and outdoor training. Our course is intended for whom who approaches naturist photography for the first time and wants to know some basic information about habitat, identification and behaviors of the most common species of birds in our countryside.
OWN PHOTO GALLERY
Our web blog puts at the disposal of each photographer a virtual page which allows him to publish his own photos. It’s a real photo gallery showing the most representative images of every single author. Thus, giving him the opportunity to have one of his photos published in a book, projected in a movie or displayed at an exhibition run by our group or other subjects who may request it.
By joining our group, members are involved in every initiative until they become the authors of real art photos.
PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITIONS
We offer a wide selection of large size photos about birdlife, insects, flowers and naturalistic landscapes. They belong to a large photo collection of the most impressive shoots of our group’s enthusiasts.
